Beautiful Kathryn

This is my beautiful daughter Kathryn.

Kathryn is a really funny kid

She loves to entertain the rest of us with her funny faces.

This is a face only a mother could love.

365: day 58

I swear, in the past 6 months we have kept that tooth fairy in business.

 

This time it was Kathryn’s turn again.  She finally lost the front tooth that has been hanging on for weeks.

Vacation time

After pretty miserable weather in June and July we were so blessed by amazing weather for our vacation.  We returned to Wellfleet on Cape Cod where I spent all of my summers growing up.  It was so much fun to introduce my kids to the same things that I enjoyed at their age.  We had a wonderful week swimming in the big waves on the ocean side as well as the warm waters of the bay side and in the  many lakes and spending time with the kids cousins as well as my cousins.

Laura, Pam and I did all of the cooking and menu planning for the week.  We had a different theme each night.  The food was fantastic!  I’ll update with the recipes soon.

 

 

History in the making

Since both of the girls just attend school in the morning they were both home in time to watch the inauguration with me. They were very interested for about 30 minutes and I am so glad that I got to share this special moment in history with them,

Brag on Kathryn

Rich's car was broken into last night in the middle of a near blizzard. The only thing that he had worth taking was his iPod Nano and the cables to use it in the car. The car was locked but it looks as though the seatbelt may have been jammed in the door not allowing it to close fully.

Anyway, Rich leaves for work really early in the morning so he called me to tell me about an hour ago. I kept saying "Oh, no that's terrible" and "oh, this really stinks". I got off the phone and Lauren wanted to know why I was upset. I couldn't think what else to tell the girls so I told them the truth and that I was upset because Daddy loved that iPod and was sad. Kathryn says "just go buy him a new one". I explained that I couldn't do that right now. Kathryn jumped up and said "I have a plan. I will change my letter to Santa and ask him for an iPod. Not a girly one but a boyish kind of one. Then when I get it on Christmas I can just give it to Daddy." Lauren added "and I will ask for all of the cables and I will give those to Daddy".

These girls are so sweet they kill me. What started off as a terrible morning has gotten better with the sweet loving gestures from my girls.

My new favorite picture

It seems like every week I have a new favorite picture. I guess that is what happens when you take hundreds of pictures every month.

Even though Zack can walk on his own now he loves to hold his sister's hands.

Fall Fun

We had to take advantage of yet another gorgeous fall afternoon. We went to a local park to take some pictures and then stopped at a nearby farm to see the animals.

We got silly at the park and all took turns rolling down the hill. Here are some of my favorite shots.
